Oxygen Analyzers

Michell offers two ranges of oxygen analyzers, designed to increase safety and improve efficiency from industrial gas and nitrogen production to pharmaceutical reactors, refineries and inert blanketing gases. We use non-depleting measurement technologies - zirconium oxide and thermo-paramagnetic - to ensure long-term reliability and low-cost of ownership.

Michell XTP601 Oxygen Analyzer

The XTP601 Oxygen Analyzer for safe or hazardous areas is a robust, linear and stable device that is used for measurements in gases such as biogas, methane, hydrogen, nitrogen or carbon dioxide. The analyzer meets the requirements of IEC61508 SIL2. A robust, linear and stable oxygen analyzer for measurements in gases such as hydrogen, nitrogen, methane, biogas, or carbon dioxide. The analyzer is housed in an IP66 rugged casing, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The XTP601 can be supplied with flame arrestors, as either explosion-proof and certified for use in hazardous areas or for use with flammable gases in a safe area.

Michell XTP501- Thermo-Paramagnetic Oxygen Analyzer

A lightweight oxygen analyzer or transmitter for cost-effective quality control in safe area applications, such as monitoring oxygen purity. Using Michell’s tried and tested Thermo-Paramagnetic oxygen sensing technology the XTP501 has no consumable parts to replace and offers users an extremely low cost of ownership due to minimal maintenance needs.

Michell XZR500 - Oxygen Combustion Control Analyzer

The XZR500 oxygen analyzer from Michell Instruments is designed to determine the excess air required for optimum combustion. It uses advanced Zirconium Oxide technology to measure levels of oxygen in harsh conditions such as boilers, incinerators, cremators and furnaces. It provides fast, accurate readings taken in the harshest of conditions. It has a range of probes from 400mm to 900mm in length with multiple material options from stainless steel to Hastelloy for corrosive environments to ceramic or silicon carbide for temperatures up to 1,400 °C. There is no chance of thermal shock or moisture condensing in the sensor as the analyzer uses a close coupled extractive sample method with the sensor in an oven maintained at 700°C. When utilising the Pitot effect, the sample is vented back inside the flue and no instrument air is required for sampling. Blowback and air ejector options are available if the application is more demanding, such as coal fired furnaces.

Michell XZR400 - Oxygen Analyzer for Gas Purity Measurements

The XZR400 zirconium oxide gas purity analyzer from Michell Instruments is designed to measure oxygen as an impurity in inert gases such as nitrogen, carbon dioxide, helium and argon. A range of trace oxygen analyzers utilizing Michell's Metallic Sealed Reference Sensor (MSRS) technology. Designed to measure O2 as an impurity in pure inert gases such as N2, CO2, He, Ar and even Kr. The XZR400 can also be used for cylinder filling and other applications where a precise measurement of oxygen is required. There are three different chassis to choose from and various options including pumps, flow alarms and digital communications to match customer needs. The rack mount unit can be supplied with an Easidew or SF82 moisture transmitter fitted inside the case.

OXY-FLEX Series - Cost-Effective Oxygen Transmitter for Combustion

A compact and cost effective zirconium-dioxide transmitter to measure percentage level oxygen in combustion processes, excess air monitoring, bakery ovens and many more applications. The unit is configurable to measure either 0-25 % or 0-100 % oxygen and offers manual or automatic calibration to suit the customer’s needs. The probe can be mounted directly on the housing unit or on a shielded cable, and the OXY-FLEX Series is easy to install and integrate into existing systems as no specialist software is required.

XGA 301 – Industrial Gas Analyzer

The XGA301 Industrial gas analyzer from Michell Instruments provides a convenient platform to measure oxygen, dew point, CO2 and CH4. The analyzer can be supplied in one of two bench-mounted chassis and with up to three sensors fitted.

Michell XTC601 - Binary Gas Analyzer for Hydrogen Monitoring

A robust, linear and stable thermal conductivity analyzer for measurement of binary gas mixes such as air in hydrogen, nitrogen, argon, helium or carbon-dioxide. The sensor is housed in a rugged casing, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. The analyzer can be supplied explosion-proof and suitable for hazardous areas.

Michell XTC501 Thermal Conductivity Analyzer

A lightweight and compact binary gas analyzer for measuring gas mixtures – such as air in argon or carbon dioxide in air. Suitable for installation in safe areas the XTC501 has a tough, IP55-rated housing. Available with an optional display and 4-button interface, the analyzer is easy to install, configure and operate. Because the thermal conductivity sensor has no consumable parts and will last the lifetime of the analyzer, XTC501 has a competitively low lifetime cost of ownership and is simple to maintain.
